Its hard to believe our first meet is just over 1 week away. 

A Great Big Thanks:  Thank you to all that have RSVPed and Volunteered for the first meet.  Everyone needs to get this done ASAP or your kids won't get entered into the first meet.  We also have a ton of volunteer positions still needing to be filled.  It makes it very stressful when Mary and I have to spend time finding volunteers on the fly, so please help us out by signing up a head of time. These tasks can all be completed on the Hammerhead Swim Team portal.  If you lost the email with instructions, look under the news section right on the front page.  FYI, we really could use a few more computer operators.  I cannot spend a lot of my time during the meet at the computer table so we need to new bodies.  It is not hard at all.  Our first two meets are away and the perfect time for some one the job training as your role is to basically read times as the home team operator does the data entry.  A great way to learn the role.

Suits & Swim Cap Update:  I have suits for everyone that has ordered one.  I've been handing them out at practices, so if your ordered one through the swim shop catch me at practice.  Those that ordered after the cutoff, yours will get sent when they're ready.  Additional silicone swim caps have been ordered, but I don't expect them in time for the first meet.  I have latex ones if you need one till they arrive.

Swimmer Goody Bags:  The t-shirts and bags should be ready this week.  I'm leaving town on Friday and will try to get them sorted and handing them out at Thursday.  Mary will have them over the weekend, if you run into her at the pool over the weekend.  Otherwise plan on being at the Tuesday, May 27 morning practice to get your stuff.  

Clinics:  We will have our regularly schedule Backstroke clinic on Thursday.  We're also doing a Flip Turn make up clinic on Tuesday (tomorrow) night.  Both clinics are at 6pm.  Blue team members asked to attend, Red team members are invited to observe and will participate if numbers allow it.
