Junior Hammerhead Mini-Meets
On the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesday in June, there will be a Junior Hammerhead Mini-Meet. All Junior Hammerheads will line up on the starting blocks and race to the finish line, just like the senior swimmers. Times will be recorded for each swimmer, and each swimmer, regardless of finishing will receive a ribbon. These mini-meets are important and serve many purposes. It gives the swimmers the chance to compete in a meet like environments. It gives the swimmers feedback on how well they're progressing. Lastly, it gives the coaches the chance to evaluate and see who is ready to move up to the Senior team and compete for real in the dual meets.
Start time: 6:30pm
Each Mini-Meet will consist of the swimmer performing the 25 freestyle.
Ribbons will be awarded to each swimmer after everyone has swam.
The coaching staff, including many of the Jr. coaches will organize and run the majority of the meet, but parent volunteers are greatly needed. There will be a need for timers, recorders, etc.
