Hopefully you don't need a reminder about today's swim meet at Huntcliff, 9072 River Run, Sandy Springs, GA 30350.  Please check in by 4:30 pm.  Warm-ups start at 4:45pm, and the first event starts promptly at 5:30pm.  I've been told that there is major construction going on at the Northridge bridge at 400 so check Waze/Google Maps/whatever in case you need to avoid that area.  It may be better to take Abernathy to Roswell Rd.

A couple of things you might need reminders about:

Seating:  There is not a lot of seating and/or shade at this pool.  I highly advise bringing your own chairs.  We will have at least 4 team shade canopies for the swimmers in the grass field.  You may want to send a picnic blanket in place of a chair for the swimmers.  Also pack a water bottle for the swimmers and of course sun screen.  I'm pretty sure this club runs a concession stand so have a little cash on hand.

Bullpen:  Make sure your children, especially the little ones, stay in the bullpen until they've completed their last event.  

New parents and swimmers, It may be a good idea to review the dual meet section of the parent handbook.  Every swim meet is chaos.  Well run swim meets are controlled chaos at their best.  If usually boils down to how well the host team is organized.  Based on interactions with the host team thus far, my expectations for a well run meet are low, so be prepared.  

Events:  The host team dripped the ball big time on consolidating the meet that the league had to step in and help them.  As a result, swimmer only got their events at the morning practice today.  Please make sure they get their full Event, Heat and Lane assignments when they check-in. 

Ice Cream  After the meet is over, around 8:30pm, we will continue our tradition of meeting at the Frosty Caboose in downtown Chamblee.
