Swim meet seating areas/items to bring

    Parents and swimmers:

To ensure we have all the kids where we need them when we need them, there will be designated seating areas for the swimmers by age group.  All of the younger age groups will have coaches assigned to them to get the swimmers marked up, to the block and motivated/reassured to swim.

Parents and siblings are welcome to sit with their swimmers in the designated areas but swimmers are not to leave their area to sit with family and friends.   This will make the controlled chaos a little better controlled and hopefully help the kids feel some structure in an environment that doesn't seem to have much structure:0)

Here is the coaching/age group assignments:

6&U - Coach Emily and Alex Huckabee

7-8 - Coach Marshall and Kirby

9-10 - Coach Carter, Gabby and Max

11-12 - Coach David and Mary

13-18 year olds do not have a specific coach as we will all push them to where they need to be.

Again, parents are welcome to sit with the swimmers and all the swimmers will be in the same area.

Things to bring (besides cap and goggles):

Video games, card games, extra towels, chairs, blankets, books, etc.  Things to entertain them.

I recommend snacks, water, and anything that your kiddos like that they normally can't get at a swim meet.  SOMETIMES we are not allowed to bring outside food in.  I have asked the question of the other team to ensure that there is no issue with us bringing the food in.  If it IS an issue, I will send a note out stating what the guidelines are, otherwise, plan to bring a few snacks and drinks...

    Go Hammerheads!

    Coach Beth
