ASA and Banquet Info, Photos from meet
Hi all!
Good job on Tuesday, it was a tough loss against a strong team. We are down to 2 regular season meets and our championship meet at Tech. You guys have done a great job of signing up for volunteer spots, we still have about half left open so please click here to volunteer!
Our ASA championship meet is open for sign up! Please click here and RSVP. You will be prompted to pick two individual events for your child to swim. You will pick what they want to swim and if space allows they will also be placed in a relay event. We will need a lot of volunteers so once we have our volunteer shifts I will send out a separate email about that. The fee for swimmers is $25, which is half of the $50 fee, we will cover the other half. The parking is now open for purchase here. I will send out a link for payment once it is set up later today.
Our banquet is going to be held Tuesday, June 23. I am in need of 2-3 volunteers who are willing to take charge of the banquet (create signup for items, be in charge of set up and break down). Please let me know if you are willing to take this on!
Please see the message below from a fellow team parent who kindly took pictures at the meet on Tuesday! Thank you so much Yane!
Thanks!
Andrea
Hi Swim Team Families!
I've uploaded photos from the meet and wanted to share a few quick notes before you start browsing.
First, please know I did my best to capture as many swimmers as possible and to spread my attention across all age groups, events, and teams. My goal was to be as fair as possible and give every swimmer a chance to be photographed.
A couple things to know about swim photography:
• Some of the older swimmers are FAST! Sometimes I only have a second or two to capture them before they're gone.
• Swimmers in longer events (50 yd+) were often easier to photograph because I had more opportunities to catch them during the race.
• Despite my best efforts, I likely missed some swimmers or events. It was never intentional!
A tip for finding photos of your child: ask your swimmer to help look through the album. They are surprisingly good at recognizing themselves (and their friends!) even with caps and goggles on.
If you find photos of another swimmer you know, please let that family know. The whole purpose of taking these photos is to help capture special memories and get them into the hands of the swimmers and their families.
A few disclaimers:
• I am not a professional photographer.
• I don't have time to sort, edit, or remove every imperfect photo, so you're getting the good, the bad, and the occasionally funny.
• These photos will only be available through the end of the summer. My Google Photos account cannot handle storing thousands of swim, soccer, and other sports photos forever, so please download and save any pictures you want to keep before then. They will be deleted/gone at the start of the school year and next sports season!
Most importantly, I hope you enjoy them! It is a joy to watch these kids work hard, cheer each other on, and make memories together.
Happy browsing! 👀😃😍
