Hi all!

Well our first meet is here! Will the weather hold off so we can have the meet? That remains to be seen, but we are hopeful! We will plan for now as if we will have the meet tomorrow evening. As a reminder we operate the same way as the pool, every time it thunders it is 30 minutes with no thunder from that point before we can start or resume the meet. If the meet is canceled the most likely scenario is to hold a virtual meet (where we swim at our pool and they swim at theirs) on Wednesday afternoon, but will confirm if and when necessary.

The meet is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, at Hammond Hills (555 Glenforest Rd, Sandy Springs 30328). Please arrive by 4:30 pm. Our warm up time is at 5, and the meet will start right at 530 pm. The theme for this weeks meet is Hawaiian attire.

I will send out events as soon as they have been exchanged with the other team. Please write your child's events on their arms once you have them. The order goes:

Please note that with the high number of 8 and under swimmers we have we are not able to place every swimmer in a relay. If your child is not in a relay this week that does not mean they will never be in one!

We are still in need of volunteers, specifically the following. Please note that we have 13 boy swimmers in the 7/8 age group and only 2 people have signed up. We can not have these boys swim without filling the tent manager positions.

All swimmers will receive a swim cap at the meet. T-shirts have been ordered and we will get those out as soon as we can.

There will be a full concession stand and they accept cash or Venmo. Our teams bullpen is around the baby pool, and seating for spectators is around the pool deck. 

The Hammond Hills pool is 5 lanes, and is a 25 meter pool, so slightly longer than our pool at HH. We will be in lanes 1, 3 and 5. 

As a reminder, afternoon practices will continue until Friday, at which time they will switch to mornings. We are working on finalizing the morning schedule and will get that out ASAP. We will also have 2 evening practices once morning practices start, from 6 pm to 8 pm on Monday and Wednesday evenings.

If you have not RSVP'ed for all the meets please do so as soon as you can. We close the meet sign ups 2 days before the meet so we can get together the lineup and do our exchange with the other team.
