Hi all -

Resending the info on practices and meet for this week. Please note that due to a delay the t-shirts/caps will not be available for pickup until Wednesday morning at practice. If you are not attending the meet you can disregard the meet info below.

The meet is a few days away (Wednesday, May 29) and we wanted to pass on some info for you all on the schedule for the upcoming week.

Tuesday, May 28 - regular morning practice

Wednesday, May 29 - regular morning practice, pickup team shirt/cap

Thursday, May 30 - regular morning practice (due to missing practice on Monday we will not be doing a fun ribbon/donut practice this day. We hope to have all the ribbons available for pickup at practice)

Friday, May 31 - regular morning practice

Please have your kids come to the meets ready to swim, but we also have a theme contest! If they can come decked out for the theme they could win a small gift card for being the best dressed. The themes for the meet this season are:

May 29 - Hawaiian

June 4 - Disney

June 11 - Disco

June 18 - USA

June 24 - Superhero

The meet on Wednesday is at Smyrna Sharks. They are located at:

Please allow yourself plenty of time to get there. The swimmers should be there by 445 pm. This is the furthest meet we will have.

Parking Info from the other team:

If parking on the street, please ensure you leave 15 to 20 feet surrounding any intersections/stop signs and at least 5 feet on either side of any driveways. We have gotten some complaints in recent weeks, so please be conscientious of safety and courtesy to residents when parking.

• You will be allowed to drop their swimmers and/or tents, chairs, etc, at the drop off circle just inside the entrance to the main lot, and parking is available in a large overflow parking lot available on the other side of Tolleson Park, off of McCauley Road (one block west of King Springs Road). We will have parking volunteers directing traffic to the other side of the park.
• In addition to the overflow parking in Tolleson Park off of McCauley Road, we have verified with Smyrna PD that street parking is legal along certain streets surrounding Tolleson Park. Parking along these streets should be limited to one side of the road. Please do not block any driveways or fire hydrants and do not park within 15 to 20 feet of any stop signs/intersections. See diagram below for available street parking options. Green arrows indicate available areas and direction of parking (right side of the street only, heading in those directions); red arrows indicate streets where street parking is not permitted.

• • No parking on the curb is allowed along King Springs Road and no parking is allowed along yellow or red painted curbs inside the park. Park rangers will ticket/tow cars parked illegally.

  I will send out the events by Wednesday if possible so you can write you child's events on their arms before the meet.
