Divisionals information:  Due by End of Day on Friday, 11 June.

As I previously put out, this is the biggest meet of the summer. Swimmers from everywhere come together at Georgia Tech to strut their stuff.  It's an amazing meet.

We are currently slated for either an AM or PM session between the 23^rd and the 26^th of June. Georgia Tech has a limited number of people who are welcome in their facility at any given time thus the window of times not being locked down yet.

We have expressed our desire for a Thursday AM slot, but it is not guaranteed.

Because of the limited number of patrons allowed in the facility, there was a creation of various jobs that allow more parents to attend AND, we are allowed 1 parent for every 8 swimmers, which gets more parents in the building.

So, the thought is that we treat this as a field trip. Kids go with other parents and coaches, and you know they are in safe hands. Plus, you can watch the meet on TV!

Once we find out the actual meet date (again, hopeful it will be Thursday at 0900), we will plan more from the standpoint of when we are meeting and who rides with whom, etc.  The sooner you sign up, the more likely you will get to be in attendance.

Other important things to know….

We are ordering T-Shirts for everyone who attends divisionals.  You cannot get one of these highly coveted t-shirts unless you attend.  You will get it when we meet up at our pool before we carpool to the meet.

There is a $20 registration fee for each swimmer.

Next is the deadline…. Please update by Close of Business on Friday, 11 June.

On the spreadsheet you will see columns that need to be filled in. The are posted below for your convenience.

Notes for columns:

Parent can work meet column

- We have positions for timers and clerk of course and other random swim meet support that we are required to fill

- This position allows you to be on the pool deck

Parent can work our bullpen column

- We have positions for parents to sit with the swimmers upstairs and keep eyes on them while assisting the coaches in getting the kids ready to get on the deck to swim

- This position allows you to watch the meet from your spot in the stands

Parent can provide rides to meet and how many they can bring to GT

- Are you coming to work/volunteer? Can you put a few kiddos in your car? If so, how many? Only annotate it one time.

Child needs ride/carpool arrangements

- Parents can't go but your swimmer is going...

- Drop them off at our pool (Huntley Hills) as instructed and a parent will claim them as their own.

Swimmer's choice of 2 events

- Each swimmer can swim 2 events and 2 relays. We'd like to give them the choice in what to swim. We can easily pick but we're offering swimmers the choice. If you don't know what to put, just put ??? and we'll handle it.
