Hi parents.  All suits will be dropped off at practice today by 430.

And for those of you who are new to this.... don't stress.  Swim meets are fun and a social outing for all.

We will not make your child swim if they freak out.  We will bribe them, encourage them, love them... 

This is one of many important reasons why your child needs to be in the bullpen/baby pool area without you.  I can tell you from lots of experience that the kids that don't swim are sitting with their parents.  They are missing out on all the peer pressure from their teammates and are manipulating you as parents.  I've had 7 kids.  I know the tricks.  They will be fine.

We will not let your child swim alone if they need assistance.  

This meet will likely be harder on you than it will be on your child.  

Always give positive encouragement, be loud (they can't hear underwater), and have big smiles.    

And, when you totally missed their swim and they asked "how'd I do?"  you say "AMAZING!!!!!"

And remember.... Never Lose Sign of the Why.... why are we doing this?  To make our kids stronger socially, physically, and mentally.  To learn sportsmanship and teamwork.  

So, don't stress.  It all works out.
