First practice for Fall Session 2, 8 Sept
Sept 8th, here we come!!!!! Time to just keep swimming, just keep swimming….
So, for those of you who did the last session of Fall League, you know the drill. Same as before.
For those of you who did summer league, all the equipment is the same, and you show up at the time that works best for you and we put your swimmer in the right spot with those at the same-ish level.
For those of you who are new to all of this (or those that just want a recap), here’s the gist:
Swimmers need goggles. If they have lots of hair, pull it back at a minimum or put a cap on them. Wear a swimsuit that doesn’t fall down when they dive in (this goes for boys too). We have boards and fins available (unless your child wears a C6-11 shoe). We only have one pair of 6-8 and one of 8-11. I\We’ve got tons of 11 and over fins.
Come to one or two practices (back to back). You know your child. Some are good with the 35 minutes or so and some can go for the full hour or so. All I ask if that the last group is left for our more advanced swimmers and older swimmers. And, come 2 days a week or all 5. We’ll be there!
Here are the breakouts so you have them handy:
1st group - 1530 - 1605 - 35 min water practice - no dryland
2nd group - 1600-1640 - 35 min water practice - 5 min dry land
3rd group - 1630-1715 - 35 min water practice - 10 min dry land
4th group - 1705-1800 - 45 min water practice - 10 min dry land
All new swimmers will be assessed upon arrival and place in the appropriate lane.
Don’t let your kids stress and if they do, just let me or Marshall know and we’ll help them along.
And, if you know your child acts differently when you are there vs when you aren’t, feel free to hide on the other side of the fence in the grassy area. You won’t be alone:0)
All of your coaches are very excited about working with you babies for another 3 weeks!
