Hello Hammerheads!

We are so excited for the 2019 season! Registration at https://huntleyhills.swimtopia.com is OPEN!

I would like to introduce myself as the Hammerheads Swim Team Representative for 2019. My name is Caryn Briggs and my family lives in Ashford Park. Our kids are Stella(12) and Leo(8). My husband Murray and I own Salon Briggs off Dresden Drive. We have been members of Huntley Hills Swim and Tennis Club for several years and love being a part of this community! I enjoy volunteering for numerous sports programs which include serving on the Board for Murphey Candler Baseball as Registrar.

This season, we have some great changes to our swim team. First, we have more swim suit options! We will offer our same great Nike suit but in addition, we will have a thin strap suit for the females and also a brief for the males. Our swim fitting will be held at the clubhouse on March 17th from 4-6pm. Please keep in mind that there is FREE SHIPPING if you order your suit on our team website by March 24th. The orders will get shipped to me in one box. Please make sure to enter the coupon code “Huntleyhills”. This is also the deadline to order customized silicone caps. You WILL be provided a latex cap with your registration. The silicone caps are optional. Please note that there is an extra discount for folks who order by March 24th. Orders after the 24th still get a discount, just at 20% instead of 30%. I will have the sizing box available any day that I am working at Salon Briggs, so if the 17th does not work for you, please feel free to call or text me and you can pop over and your child can try them on in our restroom. Just keep in mind that I will place the bulk order by the 24th.

We will have heat benches this year. If you swam in our fall league or have attended Divisional's at Ga Tech, you are familiar with these. They will help keep our kids for organized and prepared for their events. It will ensure that the meets run smoother!

Our biggest request for this season will be that I am asking each and every family to volunteer FOUR times this season. I intend to hold everyone to this as in years past, we have a lot of the same volunteers doing the work at every meet. In my experience, recreational sports require parent volunteers and our swim team is no different. We have a lot of new roles to fill for our meets. There are roles big and small for everyone to find an area to participate. If you would like to step up to fill a season long role to manage age groups/genders, or manage the bullpen(benches) please let me know. We already have several volunteers that have stepped up and it becomes an easy job and a great way to get to know all the kids. You are welcome to sign up for more than 4 volunteer roles.

Upon registration, your will be prompted to sign up for your roles, please note that all events have been marked HOME as we do not have the schedule yet. There will be changes to the volunteer roles once the schedule is set but I would LOVE to see those roles fill up before our season officially starts! Just remember, if everyone is chipping in, we all spend less time working and more time see our kids swim! Even if you are volunteering, YOU WILL SEE YOUR KIDS SWIM!!
