    Deerbrook Waters Meet Info

    Swim Meet Details:

It seems pretty ominous sending this email in the middle of a thunderstorm, but I hoping it's the standard quick in and quick out kind of storm.  The meet tonight is against Deerbrook Waters, which is tri-neighbood swim club.  Their facilities are in the Brook Farm neighborhood.

    • Location: Away Meet at Brook Farm, Brooke Farm, 5106 Brooke Farm Drive, Dunwoody, GA 30338
    • Arrival Time: Swimmers report at 4:30pm. Report to the pool area behind the clubhouse where they will get marked up for their events. We could always use a few parents to help out with this. Warm-up begins at 5:00pm. Make sure to sunscreen at home so it is nice and dried. Sharpies and sunscreen are not compatible.
    • Pre-Meet: Make sure the kids eat healthy and stay relaxed during the day. This is not a day kids should be hanging out in the hot sun at the pool all day long. Rent some movies, read a book, clean their rooms are all some good suggestions. Yes, feel free to tell your kids it’s a rule they have to clean their rooms before going to a swim meet. It’s the Michael Phelps rule.
    • Packing List: Don’t forget googles, swim cap, towel(s), snacks, water bottle and sunscreen. It might be advisable to bring a chair from home in case seating gets limited. The home team side of the pool is the Plantation side.
    • Volunteers: There are still a lot of volunteer jobs that must be filled before the meet can go on. Go to the website and signup for a job please. We need to get all the meet related jobs filled before we can start a meet. Judges, Timers, Recorders, Deck Managers, Bullpen workers, etc. must all be filled. Pre-meet setup people need to report at 3:00pm.
    • Entries and Results: Individual events are post on the website.  Relays will be assigned at the meet by the coaching staff.
    • Post Meet: Please help straighten everything up and then join us for ice cream at Frosty Caboose, a Hammerhead tradition.
