Here are a few details about the meet today. Late afternoon showers are in the forecast.We’re keeping an eye on things.If necessary we are targeting Thursday as a makeup date.

Swim Meet Details:

Location: Huntcliff River Club, 9072 River Run NE, Atlanta, GA 30350. There has told me there is a parking plan, but have not yet sent me the details. Sandy Springs have been ticketing during their meets.I will send out the details as soon as I have them.

Arrival Time: Swimmers report at 4:30 pm. Report to the canopies to get marked up for their events. We could always use a few parents to help out with this. Warm-up begins at 5:00 pm. Make sure to sunscreen at home so it is nice and dried. Sharpies and sunscreen are not compatible.

Pre-Meet: Make sure the kids eat healthy and stay relaxed during the day. This is not a day kids should be hanging out in the hot sun at the pool all day long. Rent some movies, read a book, clean their rooms are all some good suggestions. Yes, feel free to tell your kids it’s a rule they have to clean their rooms before going to a swim meet. It’s the Michael Phelps rule.

Packing List: Don’t forget googles, swim cap, towel(s), snacks, water bottle and sunscreen. It might be advisable to bring a chair from home in case seating gets limited. The home team side of the pool is the Plantation side.

Volunteers: There are still a few volunteer jobs that must be filled before the meet can go on. Go to the website and signup for a job please.

Seating: You are strongly encouraged to bring a chair. Seating is very limited at this club.Historically, if you are looking at the diving board, we will be on the right side of the pool.We also be in the grassy field outside the fence.

Entry Lists: Entries list are pending upload to the website. Go to Swim Meet menu and click on the link for this meet. You find two different files. One entry list is for all the swimmers in a multi-column report. The second report is one swimmer per page if you want to just print the events for a particular kid. IMPORTANT: These entries are not official until 5:00 pm and can change. While changes are rare at this stage of the game, they can happen if a kid gets sick, car breaks down, etc.
